Why Istinye Child Development?

  • Child Development Department consists academics who has Hacettepe University and Gazi University PhD., experience in scientific publishing, practice in the field and scientific publications, projects and professional experience UNC Chapell Hill (Post Doc.) and determine the teaching method and content within the framework of these experiences.
  • Early Intervention, children with special needs and their families, children and their families with typical development, errorless teaching methods, games, specific learning difficulties, professional practices in healthcare organizations. It is expanding with the academic staff who take technological developments into consideration.
  • The language of instruction is Turkish. There is no preparatory training. Students can receive optional preparatory training
  • The curriculum of the department is prepared within the framework of the National Core Education Program (ÇUÇEP) criteria of Child Development Undergraduate Education and offers observation, practice and internship opportunities that increase the quality of professional competence.
  • There are one unit and three studios in the department. These places provide us to observe the transformation of theoretical knowledge into experience. These places;

  • Dramatical Activity Workplace
  • Play, Scientific and Art Workplace
  • Music and Communication Workplace

 

  • The students of the department are encouraged to participate actively in the annual Child Development Student Congress. Students who want to be consulted by academicians can participate in the Congress with scientific researches from the first grade. Our university supports student participation in these congresses.
  • The Department of Child Development is applying for a master's program with the thesis and will start following the answer from YOK.
  • In the 2018-2019 academic year, the Department of Child Development was selected as 7 students with full scholarship, 54 students with 50% scholarship and 9 students with 25% scholarship.
